On the surface its about Enola finding her mother after she is abandoned and out running her brothers Mycroft and Sherlock, along the way she meets a marquise thats being pursued by her family and a murderer. The mother however is a revolutionary and is fighting the ruling class making bombs and planning some extremist shit. Enola is a powerful character but isn't completely a "mary sue" she does need her friends and family to progress the story and instead of taking the route of an extremist like her mother by saving the marquis he is able to vote on a reform bill that non-descriptively gives women more rights. Also there is a lot of clashing of the ideals of enola and her mother and the gender roles Mycroft tries to force enola into. I understand I'm shit a writing and this word vomit isn't easy to read but hopefully it paints kind of a picture of why some neckbeards would be raging because Enola doesn't need no "M'lady" fedora tilting dweebs to rescue her.

So, I guess people should feel free to say anything against the show whatsoever. 3 - The fact that the show is likable and the cognitive bias that is caused by its popularity shouldn't discourage anyone from admitting that they find something wrong in the writing or somewhere else. Nothing is perfect. Simple as that. It might sound weird that I care that much about people's feeling free to talk. Well, this matters to me specifically because for a long time I had my own "perplexities" about the show but I still wanted to preserve my first impression of it. Sometimes it hurts even you to admit that your beloved show is declining or slipping. When you make peace with it and like it (or not) for what it is, it's a wonderful feeling.
